National War Memorial Museum

Maulika Jain’s college project designed on the 3D software Blender. The Museum is divided into five different exhibits i.e. ‘Controlled Narrative’, ‘War Correspondents’, ‘War Profiteers’, ‘Civilians’ and ‘Soldiers’. The project came into  being when the artist discovered most of the war museums glorify wars, weapons and “winning” the wars. This  made her question, Who benefits from these wars? Which kind of stories get told? Who should be responsible for  it? This project was an attempt to change the narratives used in the war museums. Hence, the vision of the National  War Memorial Museum is to build a world where war is not used to instil pride, patriotism and nationalism, but seen  as a failure of empathy, humanity and diplomacy.
